THE BOER WAR.
(PBtt PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT).
London, November 15. A patrol of the district mounted troops Was worsted at Janeenville by an insig nificant force of Boors, in a similar way to the case which occurred at Somerset East, suggesting treachery. The regular officer commanding shot most of the horses to prevent the Boers capturing them.
A commando numbering 60, raided South Darling to obtain fresh horses and punish the lukewarm Dutch supporters. The Capetown Guards have been sent to repel them.
Prominent members of the Afrikander Bond are severing their connection with it and delare that the leaders of the Bond have misled the country and betrayed their followers. There are indications of a strong revulsion of feeling.
