Breaking up of a Royal Yacht.

The work of breaking up the Royal yacht Elfin has begun. The yacht was paid off directly after the death of the late Queen, and has since been lying in Portsmouth Dockyard. It is understood that the King will retain tho figure-head of the Elfin as a momento. The yacht was purchased by the Prince Consort, and used by him principally to fake his children sea trips when the Royal Family was at Osborne. In later years the Elfin became a dispatch boat.
