At the Manawatu Show the Romney Championship was secured by D. Rowlands of Palmerston North. In pigs the Berkshire Championship boar and sow was won by Slack Bros Palmerston North, and in Tamwortli classes, J. Jarvis of Palmerston North practically won all the prizes including two championships for the best boar and sow. S. W. Luxford and E. White were the principal exhibitors in the Yorkshire classes the former obtaining four first awards. Large entries were received hi the general produce classes and the judge made eulogistic reference to the quality of the exhibits. The first prize for cheese was won by the Dalcfield Dairy Coy, and the best collection of factory cured hams and bacon, by the North Island Bacon Coy., Inglewood Bacon Coy, 2nd : The best collection of bacon factory products was secured by the North Island Bacon Coy.
