REEFTON QUARTZ MINING.

Progress Mines— The total quantity of rock mined was 4864 tons, which was transported to mill and crushed, the yield bsing 18320zs lOdwts 18grs valued at £7,604 16s lid. Eighty five tons of concentrates were chlorinated, yielding bullion to the value of £1.203 7s Bd. The development work consisted of 403 feet of driving and cross-cutting and 21 feet of sinking.

Wealth of Nations— During the month 1030 tons of quartz were crushed, yielding 3500zs Odwts 3grs, valued at £1458 Os Id. Seven tons of concentrates were produced and 684 tons of coarse sands cyanided, the latter yielding bullion to the value of £368 3s 6d. On the surface the road to the head of the Energetic shaft has been widened and is practically complete.

Golden Fleece— l 226 tons of quartz we;:e crushed for a return of 481ozs 12dwts of bullion, valued at £1938 8s 9J. 10J tons of concentrates were saved, and 1040 tons of tailings cyanided, the latter yielding bullion to the value of £565 7s 4d.
