FIJIAN INTELLIGENCE.

(I’ER PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

Auckland, This Day,

News from Fiji states that the schooner Lurlinc, wrecked off the coast of Taviuni, sank in deep water.

Consequent upon the Federal tariff, the regular trading steamer Birksgatc, which usually conveyed fruit to Sydney, left for her destination in ballast.

Private advices state that the barque Criffel, loading at New York for Dunedin and Wellington, caught fire at the berth and was sunk. The cargo will practically be a total loss, but the vessel was not much damaged.
