MUSIC ON THE PARK.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —In the report of the Athletic Sports meeting held on Saturday, appear ing in your columns of yesterday, reference was made to the complaints regardtho absence of a band, and further stating that an effort was made but unsuccessfully to secure music. In justice to our band, and for the information of those who felt dissatisfied at the aossneo of music, and 1 presume they formed the greater portion of the attendance, I beg to state that we were not approached on the ma ter. Had wo been approached I have no doubt an arrangement could easily have been made. I am, etc., —
