Hector M'Donald received an enthusiastic welcome when passing through. He inspected the cadets and volunteers and short speeches were made. A Memorial Ward. Wanganiti, November 6.

The Hospital Board intends to erect 20 beds in a ward to be called the Victoria Memorial in honor of the late Queen's. Subscriptions for over £I,OOO has been collected.

The Board supports the Napier trusses proposal re a cancer hospital.
