CLOSE OF THE ROYAL TOUR.
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT,]
Received this day at 9 55 a ra. London, Nov 4.
At dinner aboard the Victoria and Albert on Friday the King was toasted. The Cornwalls were deeply touched with the enthusiastic welcome accorded them in the Colonies. They hoped that the practical results would be to draw closer the strong ties of mutual affection that already exist with the Motherland.
King Edward conferred the C.V.O. on Commander Winsloe of the Ophir, and M.V.O. on Captain Wemyss of the same same vessel and Major Clarke of the Royal Marines.
The Cornwalls presented a momonto to every officer and man aboard the Ophir besides special presents to officers and hands of the departments.
Bishop Temple has amended the Te Deum to be sang in the Canterbury Cathedral as a thanksgiving for the Cornwalls return.
