GOLD AND SILVER EXPORT.

"Wellington, Nov 4

The gold returns of the colony for October show the total yield of gold to have been 40,474 ozs valued at £155,030, and the silver export 41,810 ozs valued at £4,876.

The yield for the ten months of the present year is nearly as large as that for the whole of last year; viz, 371,137 oz as against 373,010 az. The total for this year is expected to be the largest sinee 1873.
