A Wanganui telegram says that Mrs Clampett the well known music teacher, has just received word of the death of her husband ArJbur George Clampett; at Syracuse, New York. Deceased who was 42 years, contracted a heavy cold and died of pneumonia. He was accorded a military funeral, being a member of the military college at Syracuse. Palmerston North, This Day

Addressing the petade of veterans at Government House, the Governor mentioned that lie bad applied to the Wap Office for new Ribbons for all those, whose medals required them, and a despatch just received mentioned they were being forwarded, and hoped to hare them in a few days.
