Christchurch, This Day. A fair number of spectators were present to witness final work.

Fulmen who galloped a mile and a half yesterday afternoon in 2 46 2-sths was given slow work.

Glenaladale was on course this morning doing steady work with Windwhistle,

Palaver assisted part of the way by Shan non ran a mile and quarter in 2 15. The Apremont mare has done more hard work than any other cup candidate. Djin Djin ran nine furlongs in 2 8 3-sth. Will-o’-the-Wisp ran a good half mile. Ideal did only easy work. Tor tula beat Boreas and Fashion over a mile in 1 43 2 oths. Melwood ran six furlongs nicely in 1 18 2-sths. The Yaldhurst horses on the course were Menschikoff, Crucifoam, San Remo, and Royal Artillery did useful three quarter pace work, and others easy exercise.

Ostiak moved well over half a mile in 49 2-5. Calibre and Military taking the same time for a similar journey.
