GREY HARBOR BOARD.

A special meeting of the Harbor Board was held last,evening. Present -Messrs Petrie (chair), Matheson, Sheedy, Russell, Campbell and M'Kechnio.

The Chairman said the meeting was a special one, but before going on with such business he read the Governor’s appointment of Mr M'Kechnie to a seat on the Board, and accorded him a heartywelcome. Tile business before the Board ■was the appointment of a secretary, rice .Mr Allan resigned. The following applications were received:—Messrs H. W. Burnett, E. Keddell, P. Daniel. A. Foot, J. J. Bourke, J. Galbraith, A. Kennedy, J. E. Bell-, and J. W. Taylor. Mr Matlieson proposed and Mr Campbell seconded that Mr Burnett be appointed. —Carried. This concluded the business.
