ADA DELROY COMPANY.
The Ada Delroy Company open for ft three nights’ season in the Opera House on Monday November 4th. The company has just returned to the colonies after an absence of four years. Miss Ad* Delroy is an old favourite, and is a host in herself. As a burlesque actress and terpischorean artist she has probably no equal. The spectacular dances of her own creation have earned her a wide reputation. The pretty lady is the brightest, most piquanto and altogether charming demoiselle that has ever graced the stage ; and whether singing, dancing, or acting had the house completely at her vivacious feet. Miss Delroy is a marvel. We may begin at once by stating this undeniable fact a born actress, a charming singer, a perfect dansenso. Her serpentine dances done under the play of colored lights on a dark at%ge, is an"ex-», quisite performance, her serio>comics” demand encore after encore. Her acting in burlesque is of an order of merit that most of the leading women in the met\ ropolitan centres will never attain in dramatic art. Miss Delroy is quite the cleverest and most enchanting artist that has visited Greymouth. Miss Delroy promises something.' entirely new and startling, one of her dances being entitled “ 8ho,” a reminiscence of the famous heroine of Rider Haggard’s novel, whose final appearance, it will be remembered, was in a fiery circle. Miss Delroy is to be supported by a strong company, including Mr James Bell, one of tha most accomplished commedians yet seen here; Mr Ford, another entertainer of the first flight; Miss Maud Lite,; Miss Lillian Leslie, a xylophone artist; and tha “ Whits Mahatma,” a lady clairvoyant, whose skill in the art of divination is said to be extraordinary. The Company consists of 12 Metropolitan Starardsts, and we have no hesitation in recommending the public of Greymouth to witness clever performance.
