Great enthusiasm was displayed at the meeting of members of Parliament to devise some means of welcoming Sic Hector MacDonald.

The Premier presided and a committee was set up consisting of ;Mr Seddon, Me Ward, Captain Russell, Hon R, H. J. Reeves, Messrs T, McKenzie, A. L. D, Fraser, and R. MacKenzie. Mr Fowlds was appointed Secretary to the committee.

It; is proposed to have a lunoheon at Bellamy's at 1 p m on Saturday, and then to go by spacial trrin to McNab's Gardens, at The Hutt, and have after* noon tea.

Tho pipe 3 are to be hired and a High* land welcome given to the distingu'shed visitor.
