AUSTRALIAN CABLE NEWS
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] New Zealand and the Federal Tariff.
Melbourne, October 27.
The Sunday Times says that the determination of the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce to oppo; e retaliation is amusing, and asks whether the Colony wishes to preserve its dignity or its business. If it wants business with the Commonwealth it must either federate or retaliate. Failind to federate, if it wants business she must retaliate all she knows how. The Times doubts whether she can get reciprocity without retaliation or threats of retaliation.
