WAR STAMPS.

The war has kept philatelists busy. According to the "Pall Mall Budget" the various siege stamps, the Boer issues, aad the many varieties of local surcharge and other marks arining from tho special circumstances brought about by tho war, have commanded high prices, and been tho subject of many forgeries. The London Philatelic Society propose to hold an exhibition in all the war stamps and marks, in order to effect a proper classification and to guide collectors in dealing with the unprecedented number of forgeries and pretended issues now being hawked about by unscrupulous persons.
