Wellington, This Day,

In connection with the trial of Freki and Kerry for the stranding of the yacht " Ariadii9 " which it is understood will take place on Thursday next. I learn that Mr Myres of Wellington will be associated with Mr Stringer, Crown Prosecutor at Christchureh, in the prosecution Mr W. J. Napier, the well knowa Auckland barrister lias been retained for the defence.

Mr Commissioner Tunbridge wiil be present throughout the proceeding*.

Thomas Kerry and Eric Freke, arrested at Sydney, appeared at the Court to-day to answer three charges in connection with the loss of the " Ariadne."

Accused were remanded till Thursday when all the charges will be heard together before Dr M'Arthur. Bail was left to the Magistrate to decide tomorrow.
