The official estimates show that 86,750 acres less than last year is under wheat.
Courage Recognised.
Dampait, the hero of the attempted bank robbery at Hcnty, was presented by the Bank of New South Wale-: with £SOO, a gold watch, and 12 months’ leave of absence with full pay. Two other banks presented him with £25 each. Hazleton, the assistant, was presented with £IOO and given three months’ leave. Libel on Parliament.

After a lengthy debate the Assembly cited John Morton to appear and explain an article in “Truth” in which is characterised as a grots libel on the House.
