The Corlnns arrived off Greymouth | this morning to wait for further instructions. She was immediately signalled to proceed on her search. The Monowai is the Union Company’s third largest steamer; her gross tonnage being 3,433 tons and her horse-power 2,800. She is a single screw steamer and this possibly accounts for her non-arrival through a supposed break-down. She is flush deck fore and aft and is commanded by Captain Chatficld who, it will be remembered, piloted the Opliir through New Zealand waters on the late visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York. Mr. J. Mason, son of Mr. Mason of Greymoulh, is fourth engineer on board. \\ e do not think there is a great deal of cause for alarm, the Monowai being well found in every respect and thoroughly seaworthy,
