A Eeuter message states that Iburaschirl, the Ameer of Nejd, bribed the Vali of Bassorah to co-operate in the attack on Maraboukh, Sheik of Koweyt. Iburaschid moved 10,000 troops to the vicinity of Koweyt.

British intervention preventing Turkish co-operation, Iburaschid informed the Sultan of the plot. The Sultan recalled the Yali and rcquested Iburaschid to return. AIT is now quiet, though the British warships remain in the vicinity. .
