FRENCH COLLIERY TROUBLE.
Miners buy 3000 Riefls. [per TRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] Paris, Oct. 17. The coal miners in Monoeaux, a centre •of Socialist agitation department in iSaonet, Loire, has purchased 3000 disused Gras rifles. The Government is nmablo to intervene since the rifles are s»t military weapons. The leaders in the French colliers assert that the adoption of the eight hours’ system would immediately result in a reduction of the output, causing the dismissal of thousands and reducing the wages of the rest.
