' PROSPECTUS OP THE Kotuku Oil Springs Association, Ltd. CAPITAL £SOOO. In 100 Founders’ Shares of £SO each, of which GO are offered to the Public on the following terms, viz—£2 on application and the balance in one call to be paid by Promissory Notes of £4 each, extending from one to twelve months, and ten held in reserve. DIRECTORS: Permanent Directors will be elected at the first General Meeting of Members. SOLICITORS: Messrs Guinness and Kitchingham. INTERIM SECRETARY: E. WICKES. This Association is promoted for the purpose of acquiring two Mineral Licenses containing 570 acres, more or less, and to exploit the same by boring operations. Satisfactory arrangements can be made for boring to a depth of 2000 feet in one or more bores, and the whole of the capital proposed to be called up will be sufficient to bore to tin’s depth and pay the other charges incidental to thoroughly proving the property. There is ample evidence that oil exists in the vicinity, for in several places on the property it is exuding freely.

Should the Association bo successful in starting a flow, the profits to the founders will be incalculable. The vendors’ Agreement is dated October Ist, 1901, and is made between Edmund Wickcs of the one part, and Thomas Watson Wilson, on behalf of the Company, on the other part, and may be inspected at the office of the Company’s solicitors. It provides amongst other things that in consideration of 30 founders’ shares fully paid up, and in the event of a payable flow of oil being obtained, the farther consideration therein mentioned, the vendor shall transfer all his right, title, and interest in the two mineral licenses referred to, containing 5/0 acres. The cost of flotation and registration will be borne by the Company. The Company will be registered and operations commenced immediately the Directors consider sufficient capital has been subscribed.
