London, 0et.,.12. • Lord Kitchener has confirmed the death sentence passed on Loiter, and the latter’s execution is officially announced as having taken place. Kavanagh captured 110 Boors and 10 horses belonging to Scheeper'a com* mando.
An official message states that General French captured Commandant Scheepers, Sergeant D. Ghitton and Corporal E. Pointed were severely wounded at Botha’s farm. Sergeant Eayd, Corporal lv. M’lvor and Private G. Dandy were slightly wounded. All belong to the 7th New Zealanders.
y Battling mists favored Botha’s retread The Court found Letter guilty of sedition and the murder of a coloured and unarmed scouts on two occasions, and of the murder of troopers in action on three occasions, destroying railway by means of explosives, sjamboking Britishers and Europeans.
Letter pleaded that he was a Free State burgher, but did not adduce eviclence in support of the claim. Commandant Scheepers’ captors were a troop af the Tenth Hussars.
