Wellington, This Day. The object of the Fisheries Encouragement Act 1885 introduced by the ■Governor’s message last night, is to continue the bonus for canned and cured fish till August 31st next of the following year. The bonus is to be reduced by half. In 1894 only one third of the bonus will be paid out, in 1895 only one fourth, and thereafter it will cease. '
