Good and gracious Providence blcsall the Macdonalds and all the Macdons aid’s children for a thousand years langsyne; bo graciously pleased to send us rivers of whiskies, the very finest of whiskies, and mountains of potaties, and broadt and cheo ei ns big as the hill of Strathmore; and likewise furthermore, send us floods of waters so that there may be grass .plenty for man and beast; and moreb er likewise, send us tons of tobacco sneeshan, as numerous as the seas on the landshore, and swords and pistols numerous to kill all the Grants arid Macphersons—Got damn them—for evermore, laugsyne ! Bless the wee stirk and mak him a big coo by next Martirnas and put the strength of Samson into Dongal's arm and mak him bring forth kail and corn, and lang kail and corn prodigious ; Bless the wee soo and mak him a big boar by Martirnas next. Bless all the bairns Duncan and Rory, and Flora and young Rory, and glorious years for evermore ! Amen ! Langsyno 1
