ITALIAN WARSHIPS.
The Puglia, which is at present in "Wellington Harbor, is _ a handsome modern cruiser, something after the pattern, as far as external appearances go, of the Eingarooma class in the Australian squadron. She is 289 ft in length and 4ft in breadth, and her draught is 18ft din, displacement 2550 tons, and registered tonnage 289.82 tons. She is very heavily armed, her guns consisting of four Gin, six din, one Bin field gun, eight 2iin, eight 1 I.3in, and two Maxims. There are two torpedo tubes, and she is fitted throughout with the latest appliances of a warship, including two searchlights. There are twelve officers and 273 men. The staff of officers is as follows Captain Canale, Com. Prui, Lieutenants Bentivoiglion, Comoli, Eqsetti, Manzoni, Parinorti; chief engineer, Ussilto ; engineers, Angrisoni and Giorolano; Dr. Antonclli, and Paymaster Bissocoli.
