For tho first day of tho Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting there was beautiful weather and a largo attendance. Results :
Hack Hurdles— La Volta 1, Sultana 2, Omprah 3. Time, 313 ; divs, £4 12s 6d and Sultana £1 Is 6d. Putiki Hack Race—Cornea 1, Mavo 2, Legion of Honor 3, Time 23 ; diva. £3 19s and £1 2s.
Flying —Ostiak 1, Sedgebrook 2, Fakir 3. Time, 117 l-oth ; divs, £1 5s 6d. The amount put through tho machine was £5739, against £6672 tho same day last year.
