IN UNHEALTHY TOWN.

(To the Editor)

Sib, —I was pleased to note from you yesterdays edition that the Borough Council has awakened to the necessity, ere the warm weather sets in, of endeavouring to make the town clean and healthy, and I trust this time they will be as good as their word. I often notice the Inspector's report states that the town is clean and back yards well kept, I have no doubt some yards are in such a condition, but there are scores of places where filth abounds, where danger to public health exists, and where the Borough bye-laws are openly set at defiance, Yours &c.,

Sanitation.
