THE STILLWATER BALL.
A very enjoyable social and ball took place in Stillwater school-room on Friday evening last, in aid of the school funds, The weather being all that could be desired, there was a large attendance. Mrs Gorton supplied the music, assisted by Misses Nestor and Haines. Mr A. Franklin made an excellent M. C. The floor being in splendid condition, dancing was indulged in till the small hours of the morning. The refreshments were under the management of the ladies of the district, who gave every satisfaction. The following are a few of the dresses worn by the ladies :
Miss Fallon cream dress. Miss F. Feary, white blouse fawn skirt. Miss Crawford, white dress bead trimmings. Mr J. Johnson, black dress. Miss Gillon blue silk blouse black skirt. Mrs A. Curtis, black dress. Miss Cooke, white dress relieved with blue silk. Miss Magee, blaok dress. Miss Sugar, blue blouse black skirt. Mrs W. Feary, pink blouse black skirt. Miss Jones, pretty striped blouse black skirt. Miss L. Franklin, cream blouse dark skirt. Miss N. Cooke, pink blouse black skirt. Miss McLeod, blue blouse black skirt. Miss J. Jones, black dress trimmed with helitrope silk. Miss Crowley, white blouse brown skirt. Mias Cunningham, pink blouse dark skirt. Miss Mears, cream blouse black skirt.
The committee are to be congratulated, on the success of the entertainment.
