A Hear Australian Mineral.

Near Robertson, about sixteen miles south-west, of Koringa (South Australia), a huge lode formation has been opened, in which vanadium (a rare mineral), intermediate between the metals and the nonmetals) is found in conjunction with blue and green carbonates of copper and grey ore. The lode carries a considerable percentage of vanadium, for the most part in the form of an oxido of a peculiar yellowish green colour. The present value of the metal is stated to be nealy twice that of standard gold. As vadadium has not been found previously in Australia its discovery is a matter of interest.
