THE COBRA’S MEASUREMENTS.

The .Cobra, which was wrecked the other day was built at Elawick, on the Tyne, was of nearly the same dimensions as the Viper, the fastest vessel during the naval manoeuvres last month. The Cobra was 223.6 feet long and 20.6 feet in beam, and drew 6 feet of water. Her displacement was 400 tons, and her turbine engines were of 6000 horse-power, as against the Viper’s 10,000. Her mean speed on trial was 34.9 knots, or nearly forty miles an hour.
