GREY MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
This Day.
(Before E. S. Hawkins Esq., S.M.)
A charge of vagrancy preferred against a man named Butterworth was dismissed. J. Williams, charged with drunkenness, was convicted and discharged.
Three young children named Williams were brought up as being children within the meaning of the Industrial Schools Act. Upon the application of Mr Hannan the hearing was adjourned till to-morrow to enable the children to be sent back to Wellington from whence they came in order that this district might not be burdened with their maintenance.
