The Piagae in Noumea
Noumea, September 13
News has been received of a notification issued on August 10,h stating that for some days there has been no cases of plague, excepting amongst the Kanakas. Only one European was attacked. There is sufficient anti-plague scrum which proved efficacious in every instance to meet all present requirements. American Steel Strike. New York, September 15.
Tho American Steel strike has been settled. The Amalgamated Association of Iron and Steel Workers have relinquished their claims to control the number of mills.
