THE MAORI SINGERS.

The Opera House was crowded last evening to hear this talented combination of songsters. A hymn was the first item rendered and was the means of giving the vast, audience an inkling of the treat that was in store for them. Miss Sterling’s solo ‘“Star of Hope” was really a masterpiece, her soft sweet voice was heard to advantage throughout the spacious building. This young lady captivated all and no doubt will be the means of drawing a vast audience this evening when the *• Singers ” again appear. “ Poor Little Joe, was touchingly rendered by a little girl of about ten summers who has a fine compact voice for one so young, and with care, has a bright future mapped out. Litle Nehu boyishly, but sweetly, rendered “Nobody’s Child.” We must admit that our Army friends have generally got something really firstclass in store for the public of Greymouth and last evening’s sacred concert was enjoyed by all. They re-appear this evening at the Opera House and we would advise all not to miss this musical treat.
