University Defalcations. Received this day at 2 15 p.m. Melbourne. This Day.
The Council of the University are asking the Premier for financial assistance necessitated by the recent defalcations. It is stated that endorsement of the securities has been tampered with. As far as is known upwards o£ twelve thousand pounds worth of debentures have been stolen in addition to the cash defalcations.
