Colliery Explosion.
London September 11. An explosion entombed 20 miners in the LlantradocJi colliery, at Caerphilly. Three were rescued, and the rescue work continues.
Australian Naval Contingents.
Lord George Hamilton and Mr Chamberlain thanked the New South Wales and Victorian Governments for their generous and valuable services in connection with operations in China, when each sent a naval contingent, and added that the inspection of stores carried out under their control was so efficiently done, as there was not one single complaint.
