WEST COAST COAL OUTPUT.

The following table shows the output of coal from the West Coast coal companies’ mines, and the amounts paid (at the rate of Ad per ton) to the credit of the Coal-miners' Relief Fund at the Post Office, for the quarter ended the 30th June, 1901:

The above statement of output shows an increase of 6,118 tons 5 cwt compared with the preceding quarter ended 31st March, and on the corresponding six months of last year an increase of 48,842 tons 14 cwt. Westport shows a decrease of 5,764 tons 2 cwt on the preceding quarter, and Greymouth an increase or 11,882 tons 7 cwt.
