A CONTRADICTION.

(To the Editor.)

Sib, —A report appeared in your paper of the 3rd inst. to the effect that the Blackball School Committee were likely to resign. Such a statement is without foundation. Seeing that the school has only been opened about half-time this year, I think the Board should send the appointed teachers at once, as the children are getting too ri>any holidays. The teachers picked are without a doubt very good, and should work the _ children up well prior to the examination. Hoping you will insert this. —I am, etc.,

A Membeb,

Blackball 9/9/1901. [We have excised certain libellous portions of the letter.—Ed. E.S.]
