■ Received this day at 11 9 a m. London, September 6. Surgeon Bobardt of the training ship Britannia complains that the result of bis experience of concentration camps in South Africa is that camps are inadequately guarded, and the escapes of surrenderors is frequent.
Lotter’s Commando Captured. Received this day, at 9 18 a m. London, September 6. Scobell captured Lotter’s Commando of 103 southwards at Petersburg. Prior to the capture, Lotter lost 19 killed, 47 wounded* and 200 horses captured.
Recruiting for irregular corps has been actively resumed at Durban. Capetown, September 6. Vanderhoever, a Cape Legislative Councillor,'has been arrested at Burghersdorp on a charge of concealing arms.
London, September 6. Lftdy Dudley, who made special appeal for the sick and wounded officers and nurses fund, has jE33,000 out of J£37,000 already expended.
