Training Notes. Received this day, at 9 37 a.m. Sydney, This Pay. Hong Kong is an unlikely starter for the Perby. The course proper at Randwick is in excellent condition. In final flutters for the big events, Caledonia ran away from the Puke of Kent in a mile and finished in 1 48.
Kenley was content with six furlongs done ,in a most convincing fashion m 131. .
Cretonne did a mile in 1 49, the first four furlongs in 49$ secs. He tired towards the finish. Abington again had the honours this morningwith the assistance of a cut out for the Epsom distance in 1 46, the first half occupying 50$ secs. Sequence, ridden cut, registered a mile in 1 465. Hautvilliers administered a handsome heating to Paul Pry over a mile in 1 48. Bruntwood made similar time against Newry. Australian Colours had April Fool in trouble at the end of a mile traversed in 1 495. Allinga easily negotiated five furlongs in 1 7f. Sir Leonard with plenty to spare did a round in 2 35. San Fran had mere to say than Grasspan in a ding dong set to over nine furlongs wound up in 2 5.
