Prince Chang's Mission.
Bbriik, August 29. Frinoe Chung awaits the Emperor of •China's sanction to the Kaiser's conditions.
The obeisance expected of Prince Chang is to bow to the Kaiser thrice. His subordinates prostrate themselves.
Received this day at 9.14 a.m. MONO Kong, Aug. 29. An imperial edict has been issued profronting the importation to China of fire arms, Ammunition and machinery but implying that they may be locally manufactured. The edict is regarded as a voluntary act of the Emperor. It mentioned that merchants have clandestinely imported certain goods and referred to the disturbances created by the brigand. At a meeting of the Foreign Ministers, Satow proposed to return the edict he overruled, but the objectionable portion of the ediot climated appendix was added to waft protocol. The Ministers are informing the Chinese Envoys that the prohibition applied equally to official imports.
