(OUB OWN CORRESPONDENT).

The much talked of Hospital concert is now a thing of the past. Friday has come and gono—bo has the entertainment, The weather was perfect, consequently the attendance was augmented by people fcom all parts of the surrounding district, Shortly after eight o'clock the Chairman, Mr Hargraves, aftor a happy spoech called upon Mr D. Phillips to open the entertainment with a pianoforte solo.. This was followed by songs from Misses Holder and Oxenham; Messrs G. Moss, Stark, Harloy, Carrie brothors and the Lei ten brothers. Pianoforte solo 3 were also rondercd by the Misses White, dances were given by the Lcitch brothers, and a Harmonica solo by Mr Reinhammcr. The songs by the two young ladie3 from Greymeuth were greatly appreciated. Miss Holder's "Love was onco a little boy," being of a vory high class of excellence. Another gem was Mr Stark s "Skipper," whilejthe-duet by Messrs R. aul P. Currio was all that could bo dosired. At the close of the concert the hall was cleared and dancing wa3 indulged in by the ''health and hearty" for -.some hours longer. The committee arc to be congratulated upon tho success of their entertainment, which should yield a good credit bakvicn.
