SPANISH BULL FIGHT.
As an event the bull fight which took place in Madrid recently is of importance in the eyes of the people of Madrid as do the Dorby to Londoners and the Grand Prix to Parisians. Part of the proceeds of the fight are devoted to charitable objects. A largo number of women, splendidly attired, their mantillar decked with roses and gilliflowrs, were among tho spectators, who crowded tho immense circus to see eight bulls despatched. The proceeds amounting to £SOOO. For the first timo the little King attended the national spectaclo, and tho public cheered him frantically. Each matador, before despatching his bull, delivered a speech before the Royal box. Little Alfonso presented four of the principal performers with gold cigar cases studded with diamonds, and to commemorate tho first bull light seen by him the toreadors gave him the sword wi;h which tho first bull was killed.
