DREDGING SHARE MARKET.
(pee press association.) Dunedin, August 27. Messrs. Sligo Brothers report the folowing quotations this day at Dunedin:— FEOM TO \haura ... [iulkrlu^i nothing as to some of the heavy expenditure, for which, it will be remembered, the company was not responsible. In the first reference the Weed sale value of the line, deducting a lair share of the land grant, is computed tt a sum which would leave £130,000 for the debenture-holders; but the final /eference declares that there is nothing \ef t for the bondholders. It is thought probable that the Government will split ;he difference, and thus obviate the feproach which Mr Seddon said, many years ago, would attach to the colony if it simply adhered to its strict legal obligation towards the investors who embarked their capital in the undertaking.
