GOLD DREDGING.
Good progress is being made with the -erection of the machinery on the Stafford-Waimea company’s dredge.
It is expected that the Kohikohi dredge will be ready for a proper start about the middle of next month.
Arrangements have been made for a supply of coal to supplement the wood fuel used by the Buller Junction dredge. A sample of coal from Messrs Walker and Burley's mine at Berlin’s has also been forwarded to the Mokoia dredge.
