The Hon. Mr Walker to be Banquetted.
Wellington, This Day.
The Eighty Club entertain the Hon. Mr Walker at a dinner on Monday week in recognition of his recently created “ O.M.G. ship." Another Member leaves the Government.
Among other disaffected Government supporters is Graham, who says their present policy is as far behind that of the Ballance administration as the personnel of the Ministry is as different as that when the Liberal Government first took office. Ministers are too slow, and utterly disregard the necessary economy. He will practically declare himself a Free Lance when ho speaks on the Fnancial Debate.
The House sat at 10 30 a.m. Replies to questions occupied the whole of the morning. It was stated that Government would put a sum on the Supplementary Estimates to send a New Zealand Eifle team to compete at the next Rifle Bisley match.
That Legislation would be introduced this session to deal with' the Flour Trust that has been formecK in the South Island.
That Government was doing the best it could to clear up arrears of pay and fiud employment for returned troopers.
