Wellington v Otago. [per press association.] Merivale v Christchurch. The football match to-day, Merivale v Christchurch, who tied tor the championship, was played off, and was won by Merivale by 12 to 3, through the aid of good forwards. The New South Wales Team. Sydney. August 10. The football team leaves by the Taluno to-night. According to the present arrangement Conlon displaces Whire as three-quarter, aud Hennessey, Fervor as half. Costello was elected Captain.
