[PBE PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.] A Princa Dead. Paris, August 9. News has been received of the death of Prince Henry of Orleans. Rhodes’s Gift. London, August 10. Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman and Sir "William Harcourt describe the Spectator’s statement that Rhodes contributed £SOOO to the Liberal election fund on the conditions that the Liberals should not withdraw from Egypt, as a lie.
The Spectator asks for a bettor source of denial, he paper expressing its belief in its authority for making the statement.
Honks evict Benedictina Sisters. Rome, August 10. The Augustinia monks at Rome evicted the English Benedictine sisters from the Convent publicly with the help of the Carabineers, although the sisters are only entitled to provisional occupancy pending ah appeal end despite their offer to quietly withdraw.
