T.W.TymonslCo, APOLOGISE. THE Opening Day of our great Inauguration Sale created a scene hitherto unparalled in Westland. So great was the crush that it thronged the establishment, and although we taxed our resources to the utmost to cope with customers’ requirements, we most lamentably failed. We knew that the prices, quality and quantity of our goods would ultimately control the whole of Westland’s Drapery supplies, but our staff was not sufficiently numerous to deal with it. It came suddenly in a great overwhelming rush. Although hundreds of disappointed customers could not be served on Saturday, they will realise our position, and bear witness that we did all that human ingenuity could suggest on such short notice, to cope with the sudden and extraordinary demand, so far as is possible. We will augment our over-taxed staff, and for the remainder of the sale make provision to give your customers that attention to requirements their well appreciated patronage deserves. To all our customers, both town and country, we tender a most full apology, and express our sincere and deep regret that unprecedented conditions made it an impossibility to attend to their wants. We realise that many of them, especially the lady from floss (her name is unknown to us) sustained considerable momentary loss, as well as disappointment in not being able to complete their purchases on Saturday. In this case we arc aware of the circumstance'-', and in all other cases of a similar nature we w;d on application, pay all expenses incurred, and by so doing realise that we are discharging a moral obligation. MEANWHILE WE WILL CONTINUE OUR i Colossal Inauguration Sale, And respectfully ask patrons to bear patiently with us, until ways and means are designed to successfully deal with the Stupendous Flood of Trade.
