THE KOKIRI BALL.
The K6kiri school Committee ball which came off on Friday night at the School room was a most successful affair. Although the weather was not the best, close on 40 couples patronised the function. The schoolroom was most artistically decorated with evergreens, and reflected great credit on those who had charge of the management. The music was supplied by Mr Southern (piano), and Mr Gaivin (accordian., assisted by Misses Bradshaw and Beresford (piano), and Mr Nestor (aocordian), The floor which was in charge of Mr W Kossetti, who kept it continually engaged. Mrs Joseph who had the catering, carried it cut most ■uccessfuily. Songs were rendered by Mr Myers, "Cricket on the Hearth”, Miss Beresford, “Because I love you.” Mias Bradshaw, “Honey say dat you’ll be miue.” Some of the dresses, which were really beautiful, are as follows: — Miss Bradshaw, white silk. Miss M. Bradshaw, cream nuns-voiling with pale b/uo trimmings. Miss Bereoford, black divss with transparent sleeves. Mrs Xrittn, cream figured lustre. Miss S eiflienson, black trimmed with red. Mis Dunn, cream .-kirc and pi' k blouse MiS' Cu>mingh:im, bbek skirt, red bodice; MrsW. Baxter, green skirt, pink bodice with white trimming ; Mrs Dunn, pretty navy blue dress; Miss Joseph, black dress ; Miss White, pretty white dress; Miss O’Brien, red dress; Miss Costigan, black skirt, pale blue silk blouse; .Miss A. Costigan, black skirt, yellow silk bl mse ; Miss Ilton, black dress trimmed with red ; Mrs Southern, blue dress trimmed with cream; Miss Wright, pink -kin and blue bodice ; Miss Falkner, brown dress trimmed with blue ; Miss M. Stephenson, peacock blue dress ; Miss Hahn, black skirt, pink blouse ; Miss B. Hahn, black dress.
